It's Amanda again! Sorry about the bad quality. Scanner kind of botches every picture I do..

Edit: I played a bit in photoshop with this one. I'm still learning how to make my photos look better on the computer, and a friend of mine is going to give me a bit of a tutorial. So, hopefully I'll get better! :)

well, I like her expression and it could indeed be a cool portrait :aww: ... but I would do some post-processing: cropping it and working on the background. ;)

Nice work, very suited to the situation. Also follows the rule of thirds quite nicely.

Ok, basically, it goes like this.

See the 4 corners in between the boxes? A "good" photo has the focus of the picture touching at least three of them. Then again, good is open for interpretation.

Called the rule of thirds, because the image is split in thirds horizontally and vertically. Where the splits cross, you have focus points. I hope that makes sense :P
